"...we are currently at the Orleans and have been here for the past two nights. We are not alone; there have been many rigs with us both nights, and at least one that was here when we passed by two days before that. My full report (with photos) is here: http://ourodyssey.blogspot.com/2012/02/three-cheers-for-orleans.html We've seen security drive by multiple times, but so far I have seen no one issued one of the stock notices that they have been...
Paradise no longer offers free camper hook-ups (elect and water only, no sewer or dump station), they now charge $10 for the first and every night. They are constructing a new casino addition and the restaurant is no longer operational. The only food available is at a small deli. Bad smoke odors in the casino and the belligerent attitude of the security personnel made this stop most unpleasant. We will not return. Rick...
report from Merry, May 3, 2008 We just stayed at Vicksburg MS at the Ameristar RV park (formerly Isle of Capri) Diamond Jacks has purchased the old Isle in case you want to update your website. The camp was wonderful! Clean with friendly helpful service. Price was about $23 for 30 amp and 50 was available for a little more. You could get the stay comped at 50 bonus (which they told me...
One of our readers sent me the following email: We just left Grand Portage Casino in Grand Portage MN. They have a full service RV park with about 30 full hook-up sites, with 50/30, water/sewer. All are on grass/gravel with about half being pull through. A little pricey at $30 a night, but the only place around if visiting Grand Portage area which was a nice stay. This casino/RV park does...
As per the previous review this casino is very RV friendly, long sites (80 feet) that will accommodate any size rig, electric only, no limit on how long you can stay for free. No problem Memorial Day weekend in getting a site, there were always 2 or more available. Very friendly staff, I asked one of the security guys where I could get a water fill up and he told me to find him and he would run a hose...
I saw on an RV forum that the remote parking lot for RVs and truckers is open again but there's a charge of $20 for 48 hours. Also, there's no parking at all, even day parking to eat or play, at the casino itself. Oversize vehicles must use the remote lot. This information hasn't been verified, so if you visit the casino please submit a report and take a photo or two for us. Thanks! ...
CasinoCamper Trip Report - June, 2006 We stayed at Sam's Town for 6 days. It's an OK RV park. Most of the pull-thru sites are fairly level. Some of the back-in or pull-in sites are off level, and require blocking and jacking. Pool available but often with lots of kids. Speaking of rug rats, if you're traveling with kids this place is OK. Besides the aforementioned pool...
Casino Camper Update, June 2007 Overall still our favorite RV Friendly casino in Las Vegas. Several items updated in the report below and noted -Casino Camper Initial Report, May 2006 RV Park is shared by MSS and the California. It's actually just North of the interstate overpass, on the East side of Main Street. It's not hard to get to from either direction. ...
Casino Camper, May 25, 2009 We've been in Las Vegas for a few months and often drive by the Cannery (although we haven't played there this year -- love Waverly's steakhouse, have a coupon for 1/2 off... but I digress). Every time I've driven by I've seen several 18 wheelers and at least one or more RVs in the parking lot. I recall last year asking about overnight RV parking and was told by security...
Casino Camper Report, July 2007 We stopped at the Banc Club just after noon on a Friday. I needed to do an hour of work online, and Tonopah has Sprint EVDO service. As others have said, it's a dirt parking lot but big and free. We ate in the restaurant and every table was full for lunch. We had sandwiches, the Philly Cheese Steak and a "Malibu"; both were very good. We...
Casino Camper Report, August 8, 2009 Interesting that one year ago today I posted a report about the Horizons Casino across the street from Montbleu. We had stayed at Horizons but were unaware that Montbleu also offered RV parking. This year we arrived on a Saturday night with an outdoor concert scheduled for Harvey's next door, so the RV parking area at Horizons was full. Frantically searching for a place to park, in the...
Casino Camper Report, August 2007 We only stopped in for lunch in Jackpot, not for an overnight. Restaurant at Cactus Pete's was good. You can see the RV and truck parking lot on the right as you approach from the south. The RV park is to the right of the parking lot. The fee was $17 at this time, and included cable TV, laundry, shower, use of pool and tennis courts.
The El Capitan is a regular stop for us when traveling between Las Vegas and Reno. Usually we spend the night, but sometimes just stop in for a bite to eat. The casinos is a bit old and run down but it's clean and friendly. The coffee shop serves good American comfort food at a good price. The free RV parking area is paved and level. They also have a free dump station. ...
Casino Camper Report, August 9, 2008 This was our first visit to the Nugget and we stayed two nights. See earlier reports for more info as well. Lot 4 is well marked and is on the southeast corner of Stewart and Spear. Very popular locals casino with some tourist trade as well. We ate the dinner buffet for $8.88 and it was good food, hot food hot, cold food...
Casino Camper Report, February 14, 2008 We visited for one afternoon and parked in the parking lot recommended by Karen. I checked with Security about overnight and it's OK. Chris went in and played for a few hours. They currently have a promotion going on and will double the freeplay you have on another casino's coupon. Problem is, you can only use freeplay on slots! No freeplay can be used on video...
