Casino Camper Report, August 8, 2009
Interesting that one year ago today I posted a report about the Horizons Casino across the street from Montbleu. We had stayed at Horizons but were unaware that Montbleu also offered RV parking. This year we arrived on a Saturday night with an outdoor concert scheduled for Harvey's next door, so the RV parking area at Horizons was full. Frantically searching for a place to park, in the rain, after 6pm we were fortunate to stumble upon the RV parking area at Montbleu.
Overnight parking is allowed. They ask for you to register at the security desk inside the casino. Take along your driver's license and vehicle info (state and tag number). The printed rules on the back of the parking permit say 2 day limit, no awnings, no outdoor cooking, no leveling, no "setting up camp". The lot is significantly off level and about a dozen of us were on jacks so that particular item seems not to be enforced. USE BOARDS OR PADS - don't damage the asphalt. It would be very difficult to park here without leveling. Likewise they permit over 2 days (gave us 6) if they know you're a gambler and you're not a problem maker.
