Distant Drums RV park might be the best kept park we visit. Year after year we come here and the staff is always the best. We had a St. Pat's dinner put on by the staff. Bagpipes and all . Pros: cleanliness, grounds, views, scenery, staff, sites, location Cons: wifi, difficult to get reservations
$32 a night for paved rv site with water and electricity . One central dump station, free for rv "park" guests. Unlikely that you will get yr site comped. Tight comps in general. Sites are nearly level and in excellent condition. Casino restaurants are OK, not outstanding.
Akwasasne casino recently added an RV hook-ups area. The area is completely paved and level. Each site is paved and has water and 50/30 amp electric service. I think the rate is $42/ nite. I hadn't planned to do a review until I noticed none has been given. The sites are quiet and well located within easy walk of the casino. You can also park in the oversize rig lot for free if...
Just a note . We encountered a highway restriction weight limit for the island. Casino advised use we could get ticketed. Decided to pass on the experience.
This is a very nice RV park, with lots of large, roomy spaces. They get very busy in the winter time, so you need to book in advance and request a site specific to your needs. Rates are reasonable. Casino is a short walk across the street. The machines are fairly tight, as they are all through Laughlin. Not like Las Vegas casinos. The poker room is fun, with free entries to a morning...
We stayed here for two weeks last winter. This was their stay time limit, not ours. We found the RV park reasonable in most respects. One odd issue, they have the rigs park alternately forward/backward. Great if your good friends with your right hand neighbor, your awnings will touch. Frequent security patrols (on bicycle) which is encouraging, as ST is not in the best neighborhood. Easy walk to casino, which sports a bowling...
Been here many times. Reviewers are right, lot is a large undulating paved lot on the hill a good half mile from the Casino entrance. There are some places where you can get level, though they are the first to go. Shuttle bus is convenient and we have always enjoyed all the casino personnel including the security guys who will check you in. Check in is good, for your protection, as they don't want permanent "campers"...
Foxwoods casino is an organization that has degenerated in recent years as have many East coast casinos. Foxwoods used to allow RV parking where the MGM towers were built a few years ago. This area was pretty decent, reasonably level and accessible. After that, they moved the RV parking to the Rainmaker area. You could find an area at the lower end of this lot that would be reasonably level. Then they (last year) took...
We stopped here March 2013. Open for business, though construction noise nearby. Spaces are nice, but no dump for waste water at site. They have a central dump station. $25 per night. Plenty of empty spaces, they also allow dry camping in the same area. At entrance go to extreme left. Not a long walk to the casino. Looks like around 20 spaces in all, lost some due to the construction. ...
We had planned to stop here for a day or two. When we arrived, bone tired and ready to get off the road for the night, we were shocked to learn the RV park was closed and the casino was closed. Some tribal affair. this was on 2/11/13. No interest in allowing us to hook up and spend the night.. Won't be back, too many other choices. [Admin: This is...
