Stayed here Feb 2-6, 2018. Exceeded my expectations. Was fearful of crime but met wonderful Stanford educated night-time bike security guard who pointed out there were several cameras too. Met some nice people camping there. The laundry room was open and all machines worked. Change machine only takes $1, $5, $10 and office doesn't open til 10:00. Loved seeing the city lights from park. Can take bus by the hotel and see all of the strip. Ate at the Steakhouse at Circus Circus where I had a wonderful steak and great experience. Only spent last ten minutes of the Super Bowl at the casino. That was enough. Not used to cigarette smoke. Also this casino had loads of children. The park is so much better than online reviews and makes more sense than staying elsewhere and then driving in to horrendous traffic and paying big bucks to park. BTW don't waste your money going to the Container Park.

KOA at circus circus is very basic. The pool fills up quick on hot days and gets very, very crowded. People who stay at the hotel come and use the pool facilities also. Many, many kids. The sites are blacktopped without any trees. In the summer on a very hot day there is no shade to cool off. The water hook-up has for some reason 2 spouts, when my husband hooked us up and I took a shower I told him to reverse our hose b/c I thought he hooked us up to the hot water. Turns out it's because the ground is so hot.
The campground is at the end of the strip so it isn't like you can walk to other casinos other than Circus Circus, and at night when you feel like having a drink and not driving, the only casino is Circus Circus, and let me tell you there are some very shady people at Circus Circus at night. I would choose a nicer campground and take a cab or drive in, at least you will have a nice place to hang out during the day.

In case you didn’t know, this is a KOA park, and priced like one. I think we paid $45 a night for two nights. Maybe they have lower rates for longer term. We don't gamble much, and didn't play at Circus Circus, or maybe it would have been free?
Pretty much a big parking lot with hookups, and you’re packed in tight. We only stopped in for a couple nights, so we didn’t learn much about it, just got a first impression, overall good but expensive. They have both 30 and 50 amp hookups. We had a deluxe site, 50 amp.
