Casino Camper Report, August 9, 2008
This was our first visit to the Nugget and we stayed two nights. See earlier reports for more info as well. Lot 4 is well marked and is on the southeast corner of Stewart and Spear.
Very popular locals casino with some tourist trade as well. We ate the dinner buffet for $8.88 and it was good food, hot food hot, cold food cold, etc. Deserts were good, and I believe most are prepared in their bakery. Coffee Shop is good, and prices are moderate. We had lunch and dinner there. Video Poker is OK with quite a few full-pay machines.
If you go, don't miss the Nevada State Museum across the north west corner of Carson St. from the casino. It's only $5 for adults and well worth the price of admission if you enjoy museums. Quite a nice history of Nevada, Carson City, Mining, etc.
