Hi, I thought I'd start this off and tell you a little about myself.

I retired from the US Air Force in 1998 and started a second "high tech" career in Scottsdale, AZ. But that startup company only lasted about 6 years and went bankrupt, forcing me into unemployment. I had been wanting to sell everything and start living and traveling on our motor home fulltime. After a year of odd and contract jobs, we did just that! In 2004, we sold the "sticks and bricks" home and hit the road in our "wheel estate". We've been enjoying living a free life for the past 11 years (as of Sept 2015).

Coming from a computer background, I started a few websites as a hobby. But these quickly grew and turned into a part-time job. Luckily, through user support of our advertisers, I continue to operate a few websites. I had helped Mac McClellan create and operate the Casino Camper website and provided technical support since 2010. In 2015, I took over management of the website. Thanks Mac! :woohoo:

Connie and I have worked every summer from 2004 - 2014 as seasonal workampers. The summer of 2015, we took the summer off and had a 4 month wonderful RV adventure to Alaska. If you're interested, you can read about our adventures on our personal website and blog at www.Happy-Wanderers.com .

I have many plans to continue improving the Casino Camper website. These discussion forums are only part of the beginning. Please continue to leave reviews, updates, and photos of the casinos you stop and visit. Especially if you park overnight with your RV. Visiting our "Sponsored Links" will help support the website. With your help and support, together we'll make this website the #1 source of information for Overnight RV Parking.

Lucky Lucy and I have been retired for the past 15 years and love to travel in our small motorhome. We always look for casinos along the way and, if possible, travel from casino to casino on our journeys. We call it casino hopping. Parking in casino lots and campground have always been quiet and safe. Fun and food nearby, what's not to like. :) We spend 6 weeks to 2 months every winter in Las Vegas getting out of the harsh Midwest winters and always stay at Sam's Town.

Thanks for taking over from Mac. We met him and Chris a few times, always in casino parking lots, and consider them good friends. Perhaps we will cross paths with others on the group sometime down the road.

A couple years ago Sam's Town RV went KOA. I am not a big fan of KOA so we were expecting them to jack up the rates and reduce the service at Sam's Town to match other KOAs but as of Feb this year the rates were pretty much the same. What has changed is the ability to get comped for the camping site. Only one employee has a clue how to do it, she is a holdover from the old RV park (Sam's Town insisted), they fired the rest. We are Emerald players at ST so expect some comps. Our host on our last visit became so frustrated with trying to get us a comped stay at KOA he just went down to the casino cashier, got a handful of cash and gave us instead. We are heading back in a couple months, hopefully some of those issues have been resolved.

Glad the casino camper site is active again. Thanks for taking it on.

My wife Chris and I live in NW Montana and escape the winters. Heading for Blue Water Key RV Resort outside of Key West in a couple of weeks in our 2014 Phaeton 36GH. Spend a couple of months in the Keys and then make our way back through south Texas to the San Diego CA area for Christmas with the grandkids and family. Hole up there until winter passes and it's OK to head back home to Bigfork MT.

Will certainly be staying at Casinos and will help update/add to your info.

Thanks again,

Mark and Christine Sanderson
