Report from Clark K., January 9,
2009
We
stayed there one night in May, 2009 and will not be back. Check in was
slow, people ahead of us had been assigned an occupied site, clerk didn’t
care or know what to do.
Our
site was pull-thru but narrow and cluttered with cigarette butts, pull-tops,
etc. We asked to move to a back in and it was clean, grassy, and NO one
next to us.
Casino was smokey. We ate in the buffet and it was decent but not worth the
high prices. CG bathroom was FILTHY and not as clean as a forest service
outhouse! We didn’t enjoy it!!

We have stayed at the Wild Horse Casino RV Park
many times and have enjoyed it. There is a free shuttle to and from the
Casino if you like. They have just done some remodeling and the new
restaurant is now open. We have not been there since the remodeling but
intend to get there soon. Also dry camping in the Casino back lot. There is
also a motel that is quite nice if you prefer. Happy Camping!
- from reader Karen B., April 2007
We dry camped here for about five days visiting
the casino, sightseeing and having some repairs done in Pendleton. The
parking area is big, level and graveled. Because it’s so close to I- 84 many
people use it as an over night stop. It’s gets busy but there was always
enough room. Many of the motor homes appeared to be new and the owners
didn’t seem to understand basic dry parking courtesy - generators running
into the wee hours. One couple even left their diesel motor home running
from 5:30am - 7:30 am while the wife went into the casino!
The casino is pretty big, good
variety of machines and table games. They also have weekly Texas hold'em
tournaments and three big yearly tournaments.
The Tamastslikt Culture
Institute museum is very well done and worth a visit - $6.00 per person.
The information center in
Pendleton has a dump and water fill station at the south end of the
lot-donations.
